Unheavenly Home.

“I got tired of always finding the sink full of dirty dishes. God told me to shoot her; I heard him.”

- Hubert Moor, on why he killed his wife, 1933.

The 32-year-old school teacher described his wife as slovenly, complaining she was more interested in her career than home making. As a result, their home was a mess and he was embarrassed to have company over.

Moor initially claimed robbers had shot his wife. Apparently he grew tired of doing his own dishes and eventually confessed. He sentenced to death in the electric chair.
